Member Showcase Creativity in Bucket Loads - meet Emily from Emroy
Emily is a Shire girl – born and raised. She grew up in Engadine, attended school in the area, and can remember from a young age that she always saw herself as a creative. She comes from a creative family with her Grandfather in particular having been a painter, but creativity was gifted to Emily in bucket loads! At school she used to spend hours and hours designing her assignment cover sheets, and had a real flare for the visual arts and drama.

After high school, Emily was accepted into Billy Blue College of Design, and studied for a Bachelor of Communication Design which she thoroughly enjoyed. The college provides in addition to education, introductions to key people in the industry plus one on one mentoring and boasts that their lecturers actively work within the industry that they teach. Emily is on the Alumni Committee and feels strongly about mentoring young people coming into the industry due to it being so competitive.

While she was studying for her degree, Emily started working for Emroy to assist in gaining industry experience. The company at that time was still in the start-up phase, and Jake and Fabian (the Directors) were keen to have a student assist them who they could mentor and nurture. The three of them are like family, and Emily started working there full time as soon as her degree was completed. Several years on, due to their hard work and dedication, the business has expanded to 12 staff. During this time, Emily has become a Shareholder of Emroy and is part of all decision-making team with Directors Jake and Fabian when it comes to business decisions.

Emily now heads up the design team at Emroy, where she delegates, project manages and ensures the client’s brief is expertly communicated to the designers. Because she is brand-focused and has a keen eye for detail, all designs go through Emily and she provides her team with guidance, expertise and well thought out processes that ensure the client gets the best service. Clients who work with Emroy get a dedicated Project Manager who manages the process from start to finish, and the majority of Emroy’s clients are clients for the long-haul.

Emroy’s office space is light, bright and inspirational. You can tell when you walk in that creativity lives and thrives there, and I encourage any of you who are at the stage of business where you want to get serious about your brand from design to style guides, to brochures, banners, signage, promotion, and printing to get in touch with Emily for a chat. Emroy can also assist in executing full marketing strategies, and have recently hired an in-house team for web-design.

Emroy pride themselves on providing excellent quality and value to their customers, and as a company ensure the client feels like they can always pick up the phone for a chat, and no matter how big or small their business is, they are all treated with the same professionalism and service.
